The AGS degree is designed primarily for students who have chosen to pursue a broad general program rather than a specific occupational-oriented or baccalaureate-oriented program. This degree is not designed to transfer to a four-year institution, and general education requirements do not meet IAI General Education Core Curriculum guidelines. Courses numbered 100-299 may be counted toward this degree.
- College Requirements
To achieve an AGS degree from Waubonsee, a total of 64 semester hours must be completed as outlined in the college catalog. In addition, students must maintain a "C average" minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all course work taken. Academic Residency must also be established by acheiving a minimum of 15 semester hours in courses at Waubonsee (excluding CLEP and proficiency credits). Always consult the published college catalog for complete information, or call the Counseling Center for assistance.
