Nurse Assistant

Waubonsee offers the Basic Nurse Assistant Training certificate program at the Aurora, Copley and Plano Campuses. Courses are offered in the morning, evening and weekend. There is also an option to take the course in an accelerated 8-week format during the morning. After completion of the program, students may sit for the state exam to become certified to work.

Certified nurse assistant status may serve as a springboard for a variety of careers within the health care field, such as phlebotomy technician, medical assistant, massage therapist or registered nurse. Following completion of this program, a student can move on to our patient care technician program for college credit and/or enroll in several noncredit classes offered through Workforce Development.
