Waubonsee offers the medical assistant certificate at the Copley Campus during the afternoon and evening. Students may choose to complete the program in four semesters (full-time) or six semesters (part-time). The required externship allows students to gain experience at a local physician's office, clinic or outpatient facility. This program can lead to national certification as a medical assistant and/or phlebotomy technician.
As of January 1, 2016, the PAX-RN (Pre-Admission Exam) will be called the PAX (Pre-Admission Exam).
Waubonsee Community College's pass rate on the American Association for Medical Assistant (AAMA) National Certification Examination for January 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015 was 100%.
Congratulations graduates and faculty!
