Online Training for Working Interpreters

There are many people working in the health care interpreting field who have never received any sort of formal training. These interpreters and their employers soon realize, however, that being bilingual is not enough. All interpreters need to learn and follow the profession’s code of ethics and standards of practice, and most interpreters want a community of professionals with whom they can share their stories and get support.

Waubonsee has developed a basic 16-semester-hour online certificate program that delivers the knowledge, skills and support working interpreters like you need to be successful. To learn more about the courses required for this non-language specific certificate, download the pdf on this page.
