Health Care Interpreting Associate in Applied Science Degree
This 64-semester-hour program is the most comprehensive offered by the college, combining health care interpreting and translation courses with general education requirements. It focuses on English/Spanish interpreting skills and requires special language testing for admission.
Health Care Interpreting Certificate of Achievement
This 41-semester-hour program is also focused on English/Spanish interpreting and includes only career-specific health care interpreting and translation courses.
Health Care Interpreting — Practitioner Certificate of Achievement
This basic 16-semester-hour certificate is offered entirely online and is designed for working interpreters who have received only on-the-job training. The program delivers the theoretical and professional knowledge interpreters need to be effective, and since it is non-language specific, all interpreters can benefit from it.
