Donnell B. Young

Donnell Young is a PhD student attending the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received a Masters of Public Administration and a Masters of Environmental Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and an Associate of Arts degree from New Mexico State University. 

Young has served in the U.S. Army for 14 years -- active, guard and reserve -- as a combat medic, career counselor, medical operations officer, and currently as an environmental scientist.  Young has been mobilized in support of Intrinsic Action against Iraq (1998), and is currently the preventive medicine advisor for the 108th Medical Battalion (Multi), of the 108th Sustainment Brigade, in the Illinois Army National Guard.

Young has  also completed an internship at the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center, Edwardsville, IL, and currently assists his Academic Advisor as a research assistant in Exposure Assessment and Modeling of Indoor Air Quality Determinants.
