Collegiate Wresting at Waubonsee
Competing each winter the Waubonsee Chiefs Wrestling Team takes to the mat for a new season.
Local fans of collegiate wrestling can enjoy home matches in Erickson Hall, Waubonsee's athletics hub, on the north side of Sugar Grove Campus. Check the wrestling schedule for contest dates, times and results.
Program Highlights
The 133-pound title was captured by a Waubonsee student-athlete at the 2010 NJCAA Wrestling National Championships. Two other wrestlers also earned All-American status in 2010 as Waubonsee placed fourth in the nation among non-scholarship Division III teams and fifteenth overall for the tournament.
Various Waubonsee teams are nationally ranked each year in the NJCAA polls and perennially near the top of the Region IV rankings. Waubonsee teams capture several ISCC titles, have numerous individuals named to All-Conference and All-Region squads, and consistently contend for the ISCC All-Sports Trophy each year, winning it in 2010.
