ISCC Champs, Region IV Champs and NJCAA Division I National Qualifier
The women's soccer team has captured the NJCAA Region IV title four of the past eight years. In 2011, the Chiefs became the first women's team ever from northern Illinois to reach the NJCAA Division I National Finals. Waubonsee competed in the eight-team national tournament held in Melbourne, Florida, the third week of November. The Chiefs were nationally-ranked for the first time in 2010 when they were tabbed 16th among Division I NJCAA teams. In 2011 Waubonsee was ranked as high as 10th before qualifying for the National Tournament and placing seventh as an unranked squad. In 2014, they again won the Region IV title and made the program's second appearance at the National Tournament. Last season Coach Brad Schlemmer's team reached the Region IV Championship match for the seventh time in the last eight years.
Also in the last eight years Waubonsee has captured the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) title three times and finished in second place twice, going 36-8-3 overall in league play. Subsequently, Waubonsee players have dominated the All-ISCC and All-Region squads as of late. Two-time NJCAA All-American Maxzine Rossler, along with Priscila Diaz, a two-time All-Region and All-ISCC selection, led Waubonsee's record-setting teams in 2010 and 2011. More recently Second Team All-American Haley Kilbride led Waubonsee to national prominence and a berth to the National Tournament in 2014. Most goals scored, shots on goal, shutouts, wins and points in a season are just a few of the program records that have been set in the last few years.
Waubonsee also offers Men's Soccer.
