Men's Basketball at Waubonsee

Competing each winter – late fall through early spring semester – the Waubonsee Chiefs Men's Basketball Team takes to the court for a new season.

Local basketball fans can enjoy home games in the Erickson Hall gymnasium on the north side of Sugar Grove Campus. Check the men's basketball schedule for contest dates, times and results.

Program Highlights

Under the direction of long-time head coach Dave Heiss, the Chiefs have been a perennial powerhouse in the region. As a matter-of-fact the 2008, 2010 and 2011 men's basketball teams captured the Region IV Division II District B Championship and earned a berth in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. In 2012 and 2013 Waubonsee grabbed a share of the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference, the 10th and 11th league titles under Heiss' guidance, more than double the total any other school in the conference has ever won.

Additionally, in conjunction with the college's Educational Television Department, most weekday home games throughout the season are broadcast locally in the Aurora area on Waubonsee's cable channel and streamed "live" via the link on the Chiefs' Athletic home web page.

Waubonsee also offers Women's Basketball.
