Working at Waubonsee

Waubonsee Community College is a fully accredited community college with four campuses and an enrollment of more than 12,000 students each semester. In addition to state-of-the-art facilities, a dedicated team of professionals has helped make Waubonsee one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state.

Waubonsee is a great place to learn and grow — for students as well as employees. Waubonsee offers benefits for both full- and part-time employees and, for the third straight year, Waubonsee has been named one of the healthiest companies in the country by Interactive Health Solutions.

Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, Waubonsee subscribes to the principles of human resource management, which promotes equal access, equal opportunity, equal treatment and fairness, staff development and training activities, affirmative action, fair compensation, and accountability. Waubonsee is committed to hiring employees who reflect the rich ethnic and cultural diversity represented in its student population and in the communities that make up the college district.

After the final filing date for each job opening, applications are pre-screened by the Office of Human Resources and then forwarded for committee review. The majority of pre-selection and interviewing is done by screening committees comprised of persons who are familiar with the department, the position and the hiring criteria.
