| Adult Education Learning Center |
The AELC offers Adult Education
students an opporunity to enhance their studies using computer aided instruction
in the areas of basic Academic Skills, GED preparation, workforce preparation,
English as a Second Language and Literacy. The center is located at the
Aurora Campus. Adult Education instructors are available in the center
during all open hours to assist students with an individual plan of instruction.

| ASSISTANCE FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES |
The Access Center for Students with Disabilities assists students with learning, hearing,
visual or mobility impairments and other disabilities. This center integrates
students into mainstream college life and toward independence and greater
self-sufficiency.

| CENTER FOR LEARNING ASSESSMENT |
| Center for Learning Assessment provides a wide range of testing
services to students, including placement, aptitude and interest, proficiency
and certification testing. Students may also use the Assessment Centers for
make-up examinations, distance learning and telecourse testing. |

| BOOKSTORE |
The Waubonsee Community College bookstore offers all of your textbook and school supply needs. We also
offer a variety of clothing and novelty items.

|
| CAREER SERVICES |
Our Career Services
Center assists students with the job search process, including information
on employment projections and labor market needs, effective resume writing
and interview techniques, internship opportunities, and history files
on companies and organizations in the area.

| CHILD CARE |
Our Child Care Center offers safe, flexible, and affordable childcare for children ages
3 through 6. This program provides developmentally appropriate activities
that meet the children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical

| COMPUTER ACCESS |
Information Technology has
approximately 140 personal computer workstations in our open labs for
your use. All computers are networked to provide you with access to a
wide range of software packages, laser printers, and scanners.

| COUNSELING AND ADVISING |
Counselors in the Counseling
and Advising Center assist students with career and educational goals,
choosing programs of study, lifestyle transition related to education,
and other personal issues that may interfere with academic progress.

| FITNESS CENTER |
Open to anyone 16 years of age or older, the fitness center offers students and community members exercise programming based on a solid
foundation of fitness testing, exercise prescription, professional supervision
and encouraging support. Exercise in a relaxed and fun atmosphere on your way

| LEARNING ENHANCEMENT |
Waubonsee has a place where you can get help in
areas where many college students need a boost such as English, math,
reading and study skills. You can get help in time management, note taking,
memorization, test taking, and many more areas! Assistance from the Learning
Enhancement Center is available through classroom, individualized
and open lab assistance. The staff will structure a program that is right

| STUDENT ACTIVITIES |
Being involved on campus, outside of classes,
is an important key for many successful college students. Participation
in extracurricular activities allows students to meet people with similar
interests, learn more about new areas and have a good time. For more

| STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES |
The college also has a program to assist
students who are the first in their families to attend college,
come from a low-income home and/or who have physical or learning
disabilities. This program, Student Support Services
(TRIO), provides personal counseling, offers academic
support, one-on-one tutoring and more.

The Todd
Library, located on the Sugar Grove campus, is open to the community.
The library offers a range of community services.

| Transfer Information |
If you’re planning to transfer to a four-year
college or university after leaving Waubonsee, the Counseling and Advising staff
can help you learn more about the requirements
and procedures at your transfer school so your transition is a smooth
one.

| TUTORING |
Free academic assistance for many college
courses is available through Learning Enhancement. Professional staff
provide assistance on a walk-in basis, or students can receive online
tutoring in many subjects by using the Illinois Virtual Campus Tutor.
