Don't choose a career path in the dark!! Step into the light
and see your shadow—job shadow, that is. Waubonsee students can
sign up to shadow a professional in their career field of interest
for a one-day on the job work experience. Stop by the table in the
Bodie Hall atrium to find out the details on February 1--the day before
Ground Hog Day. Sign up for a job shadowing experience and to win you

Waubonsee alumni and professionals, would you like to share your knowledge
and make an impact on your profession or occupation? Job shadowing
provides enrichment for both students and the employer:
For Students
- Provides first-hand knowledge that comes only from being in the
job setting.
- Allows the opportunity for exploration of possible careers in their
field of interest.
- Links textbook information to the world of work.
- May confirm a career path or job being considered.
For Employers
- Helps prepare the future workforce.
- Shows students career possibilities in a variety of industries.
- Demonstrates tangible commitment to supporting and improving your
community.
- Creates a feeling of personal satisfaction that comes from mentoring
a young person.
Student participants come from a diverse background and meet the following
criteria:
- Have successfully completed at least one semester at Waubonsee
Community College.
- Are currently enrolled, full time students at Waubonsee.
- Have transportation to the job-shadowing site.
- Have completed the job shadowing application process.
