This fall marks the fifth season Mandy Piscitelli has been a part of the Waubonsee coaching staff. A former Chiefs’ standout student/athlete, she enters her second season at the helm after serving as assistant coach. Piscitelli brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and a competitive drive to the Waubonsee sidelines.
Coach Piscitelli is a 1999 graduate of nearby Kaneland High School, where she was a three-sport athlete. Piscitelli excelled athletically for the Knights playing volleyball, basketball and softball during her prep career. As a senior, she earned All-Conference and All-Area honors on the volleyball court while being named All-Conference on the softball diamond as well.
Piscitelli enjoyed similar success at Waubonsee while playing volleyball, basketball and softball for the Lady Chiefs during the 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 seasons. She was named Waubonsee’s Female Athlete of the Year at the conclusion of her sophomore year. Off the court and diamond, Piscitelli also earned Academic All-Skyway honors her sophomore season.
Coach Piscitelli received an Associate Degree in Social Science from Waubonsee in 2002. She earned a Bachelor Degree in physical education with a minor in health education from Northern Illinois University in 2006. Piscitelli is currently teaching at Ira Jones Middle School in Plainfield and resides in Sugar Grove. |
