Phillip Jacobs
Athletic Trainer

Phil Jacobs joined the Waubonsee team in January of 2002. He brings more than 14 years of experience to the Chiefs’ Athletic Department. He oversees the daily care, prevention and treatment of Waubonsee’s nearly 200 student/athletes.

Jacobs is a 1990 graduate of Harvard High School in northern Illinois. He attended McHenry County Community College before transferring to Western Illinois University. In 1996, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the Macomb, Illinois school. Jacobs became a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer in 1997.

Waubonsee’s ‘Dr. Phil’ has served as an EMT in the Harvard area since 1990. Additionally, he has worked in the sports medicine related field for a variety of organizations. Jacobs has worked for the Sports Institute in Rockford serving Rockford College Athletics, Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Work-Fit in Janesville, Wisconsin, and as an EMT for Six Flags Amusement Park in Gurnee. Phil and his wife Kelly reside in Harvard.
