The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) rates Waubonsee academically in the upper five percent of all community colleges nationwide.

More than 165 student/athletes participate in Waubonsee’s 13 sports. Eighty-five percent of Waubonsee’s athletes go on to four-year institutions to finish their course work.


A WINNING ATHLETIC TRADITION

Waubonsee is part of the seven-member Skyway Conference made up of schools in the suburban Chicagoland area. The Chiefs capture several Skyway titles each year and consistently contend for the Conference’s All-Sports Trophy.

Waubonsee is also a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), which consists of more than 700 colleges. Various Waubonsee teams are nationally ranked each year in the NJCAA polls.

Waubonsee is located in the NJCAA Region IV, comprised of 26 colleges in Northern Illinois. The Chiefs compete in Region IV tournaments in all sports each season to determine the area’s representative in the national finals.
