Build Your Future
A high-achieving student, Frida attended Waubonsee on Gustafson Scholarship, took part in the Honors Program and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa on her way to her associate degree. That first degree led to her second — a bachelor’s degree from a state university.
While these two college credentials helped her land her job as a Human Resources Recruiter at BP Capital Management, she considers her experiences in Waubonsee’s clubs and organizations just as important. A member of Latinos Unidos and president of the Student Senate her sophomore year, Frida developed leadership skills and a felt a sense of community.
“Those activities made me more comfortable being at Waubonsee, rather than just taking my classes and going home,” Frida said. “It made it more personal for me.”
Being involved with Student Activities is a great way to feel connected to campus.
