Scholarships
Scholarships are available to new and returning Waubonsee students from many sources, including the generous donors who support the Waubonsee Community College Foundation.
Waubonsee Foundation Scholarships
Each year, the Waubonsee Foundation offers more than 200 scholarships to new and returning students. All scholarships and eligibility criteria are listed in the annual Scholarship Brochure (pdf). The updated Foundation Scholarship Application (pdf). Form will be available in mid-December and is required for most scholarships. Please note: The application forms are available online only - hard copies are not available. When submitting the application, you must also include an official high school or unofficial Waubonsee transcript that shows spring 2012 classes, an essay, and at least one letter of recommendation. High School Applicant Alert!!!!!
Scholarship applications for the 2012-2013 academic year are due in the Office of Fund Development, Dickson Center, Room 225, Waubonsee Community College, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554 by 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feruary. 2, 2012. You may also drop them off by 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at any Waubonsee Community College reception desk. Contact Fund Development for more information.
Gustafson Scholarships
High school students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and community service should apply for Waubonsee's prestigious Gustafson Scholarship.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Scholarships (pdf)
Funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation, these scholarships cover two years worth of tuition, fees, books and living expenses for students majoring in certain STEM disciplines. Applications will be accepted until all available funds have been disbursed, but students are encouraged to submit their materials as soon as possible.
Dunham Fund Nursing Scholarship (pdf)
A two-year Dunham Nursing Scholarship covers up to 90 percent of your educational costs at Waubonsee. Deadline for the 2012-13 academic year is June 15, 2012.
Program Scholarships (pdf)
These scholarships are awarded to students studying in certain career and technical education areas at Waubonsee. Deadline for the 2012-13 academic year is May 25, 2012.
