High School Students

Waubonsee welcomes qualified high school students to take courses and get a head start on college.

Students 16 and Older
Current high school students 16 years of age or older are permitted to enroll in credit courses for which they have met the prerequisites. Whether taking the course for both high school and college credit (dual credit) or just college credit, students must complete and submit the High School Student Registration and Authorization Form (pdf). If requesting dual credit, a signature from a high school counselor or principal is required. For more information, contact Registration and Records, (630) 466-7900, ext. 2370.

Students Younger than 16
Students below junior status or younger than 16* who want to register for classes at Waubonsee must present a copy of their high school transcripts and a completed Underage High School Student Authorization Form with their high school counselor's/principal's signature to the Office of Enrollment Management (2nd floor of the Student Center at the Sugar Grove Campus). Please note this form is in addition to the High School Student Registration and Authorization Form and is required whether a student is interested in both high school and college credit (dual credit) or just college credit.

*Note: If a student will be turning 16 during the semester he/she is planning on attending, then the Underage Authorization Form is not required.

Summer High School Program
Waubonsee's Summer High School Program, which offers courses for high school credit only, has its own separate registration form and processes.
