The Center for Sustainability

Sustainability has played a leading role in Waubonsee practices since the early 1990s, when the college adjusted landscaping practices to incorporate water-saving and energy efficient strategies. Today sustainability is a high priority in all aspects of campus life at Waubonsee.

The Center for Sustainability at Waubonsee Community College was created in fall 2010 through the generous support of the Illinois Green Economy Network. The Center serves as a support and programming resource for all areas of campus and the local community.

Waubonsee's faculty, staff and administrators are working hard to develop sustainable initiatives. Access the Sustainability Working Group for a list of key contacts.
