Scholarships

Out of work and collecting unemployment?

Established by the Waubonsee Community College Foundation, these scholarships provide up to $500 toward the cost of Workforce Development courses at the college. These short, focused courses are intended to provide students with relevant skills they can utilize right away in a variety of industries such as computers, health care, manufacturing and small business.

Submit the following documents to Waubonsee Community College Foundation, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554:

• Brighter Futures Scholarship Application Form (pdf)
• Your most recent Wage Information Sheet from the Illinois Department of Economic Security (IDES)
• Noncredit Registration Form (pdf)

The number of scholarships awarded is dependent on the availability of funds. All Brighter Futures scholoarship funds must be used by June 1, 2012. For more information call (630) 466-7900, ext. 2316.
