Histories and Reports

A written history of Waubonsee Community College is vital for administrative reasons as well as the commemoration of events. The college submits several reports each year for purposes such as accreditation, and these reports provide an excellent overview of the institution at the time they were written. Other reports containing valuable historical information are produced sporadically at lower administrative levels. A few targeted histories have also been written, and a small sampling has been digitized and is available here. Short histories can be found inside the Course Catalogs as well. It should be noted that two book-length, campus-wide histories of the college have been published, one written by former Head of Public Information David W. Robinson and the other by former College President Dr. John J. Swalec. For access to these books, contact the Todd Library, the Aurora Campus Library, or the College Bookstore.
