The ceremonial groundbreaking for the Plano Campus was held at Mio Amore Italian Steakhouse in downtown Plano in April 2009. As seen from across Lake Plano, the outline of the new campus was taking shape in November 2009. A sign on Route 34 announced the new Plano Campus in February 2010. The building opened for classes just under a year later, in January 2011. The modern building features a large glass atrium that offers students and visitors a nice view of Lake Plano. The modern look continues inside the building, as seen in this photo of the first-floor hallway. A scenic shot of the campus with summer flowers in bloom.
