The college's board members and building planning committee posed for a photo at the APC Groundbreaking in fall 2005. The steel framing of the APC was in place in early 2006. Just a few months before its August 2007 opening, work picked up on the building's hardscaping, including new sidewalks, pavers and columns. With its columns ad decorative pavers, the APC provides a warm welcome to the north side of the Sugar Grove Campus. The APC's 10,000-square-foot Event Room has hosted a variety of college and community events since its opening in fall 2007. Located outside the building's main lobby, the APC's patio area has proved a popular outdoor study space.
