Designs for New Student Center Approved -- Phase II
(June 14, 2005)

Waubonsee’s Board of Trustees approved exterior design plans for the new student center which will be located on the Sugar Grove campus. It is part of Phase II of the 2020 College Master Plan.

The new 72,000-square-foot student center will centralize the college’s services to students such as registration, academic counseling, food service, recruitment and retention, student activities, career services, financial aid, assessment, and other support functions in a one-stop facility.


East view of the Student Center. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2006, with occupancy expected in 2007.


North view of the Student Center. The estimated cost of the building is $12,050,000.
